Step-by-Step Deployment Guide
1. Download Chrome Enterprise MSI
Go to Chrome Enterprise download page.
Download the MSI installer (Enterprise version recommended for policy management).
2. Add Chrome to Intune
Sign in to Microsoft Endpoint Manager Admin Center.
Navigate to Apps > Windows > Add > Line-of-business app.
Upload the Chrome MSI package.
Provide app details (name, description, publisher).
3. Configure Deployment Settings
Choose Install behavior (System/User).
Define requirements (OS version, architecture).
Set detection rules (MSI product code ensures Intune knows if Chrome is installed).
4. Assign to Groups
Assign Chrome to user/device groups.
Choose Required (auto-install) or Available (users install via Company Portal).
5. Deploy Extensions
Use Intune Settings Catalog or Custom OMA-URI policies:
Add Chrome ADMX templates or JSON configuration.
Specify Extension IDs and Update URLs.
Configure policies like forced installation, blocked sites, or permissions.
6. Monitor Deployment
Go to Intune > Apps > Monitor.
Track installation status, success/failure reports.
Validate extension deployment via Chrome browser on endpoints.
